  • On the Bright Side of Quarantine

These photos by Adas, a Lithuanian photographer, have served as inspiration for students in 1st BTO Advanced English to write unique memorable descriptive stories and to remind ourselves that these hard times can also bring us joy when we share our time with our loved ones.

You can find some of these stories in the book below. Once again, awesome work, guys!

  • Debate in Confinement

The Coronavirus pandemic won't prevent us from exercising critical thinking. We had been practising debates since the beginning of the school year and we were planning on taking part in the Madrid debating tournament.  The pandemic has changed everything but we are still debating online.

First, three different rooms in Kialo were created where two teams per room took opposite stands to the topic and collaborated in the live discussion for an hour.

Then, teams were paired differently and took part in online oral debates through Google Meet.

  • Noughts & Crosses

Students in 3rd ESO Advanced English read the dystopia by Malorie Blackman "Noughts and Crosses" during the first term. While reading, they engaged in different creative activities and critical thinking debates. Here is an example of some of the activities created based on a Literature Choice Board. I'm really proud of the quality of their creations.
