BILINGUAL SECTION 2016-17

  • Macbeth

The icing on the cake for all the year's hard work in the bilingual section has been the performance of Macbeth. Every single student in the bilingual section got their part and went on stage to perform the play they read during the third term.

It was hard to make it work with so many "actors and actresses" on stage but it turned out to be a hit!

Well done, kids, once again!

Malcom's speeches
  • Macbeth

After reading the play "Macbeth" by Shakespeare, students in the 2nd year of the bilingual section have written speeches on behalf of Malcom to convince the English army to come and fight with him to kill Macbeth and get the throne of Scotland back.  They did a pretty amazing job!

FABLES

  • Scotland Presentations

In preparation for the Edinburgh immersion trip students in the bilingual section have prepared slideshows on different aspects of Scotland: history, geography, customs, the Old Town, the New Town. Later, they went through other groups to present their slideshows and play a Kahoot on the information they gave.

Below you can see some of their presentations.

Number the Stars
  • Movie Trailers

After reading the original novel by Lois Lowry, "Number the Stars", students in 2nd ESO bilingual section have designed impressive movie trailers as if the book was going to be made into a film. They used adobespark to create the videos.

It's been an engaging activity that has let students run their imagination wild.

  • King Arthur & Robin Hood Projects

Our 2nd year bilingual students have read two well-known legends in British literature this term: King Arthur and Robin Hood. They've been working in groups on different aspects of the stories: Theme, Setting, Plot, Characters, Conflict and Vocabulary.

They created their own comic strips on Storyboardthat and they used Google Drive and Google Presentations to work collaboratively. The final results can be seen in the slideshows below, which they used to illustrate their oral presentations.

  • Getting to know each other

Our bilingual 1st year students of ESO have gotten off to a good start! In their classes, they have devised, rehearsed and finally performed a TV-like series of interviews which have made them get to know each other better. They have fully enjoyed it, and we may have discovered some future journalists, sportsmen and sportswomen, and even Youtube stars.
